Parineeta - A movie, a nice watchable movie

I suddenly was in the mood to watch this movie. So I made up my mind and pulled in a cupla friends of A and me and A's colleagues. I raved to them about the movie and how good the reviews of the movie were and blah blah :-)
I was hoping that it would really be worth a watch...

The word Parineeta means 'the married woman'. The movie might have the same plot, about a girl and a boy who love each other immensely...but the way the couple realises that they are in love has been dealt very well. Saif has done a great job. The newcomer Vidya sizzles on screen...I found her breathtakingly beautiful....All her little gestures add up to make her performance the best!!
The song 'Piyu Bole' is very pleasant and the only good hummable song in the movie.
The end is a lil funny, we couldnt stop ourselves from laughing :-D

In short, I feel its a well made movie. Am glad that most of them ended up liking it :-)

Pottery is great fun !! I've been wanting to do something like this frm such a loooong time and now am enjoying every bit of it...
We start off with handbuilding.....so made some heart shaped coasters, fish shaped bowls, a tray and a vase and some such things :-)

The wheel technique is difficult....I couldnt get it the first two times and was disheartened :-(
But I was thrilled when I made my first bowl on the wheel..... :-) Am planning to color it blue.....

Its still not colored and is sitting at the pottery studio....Will post some pictures when its home..

Some of the overhead is gone with the cargo thing done. Things until yesterday were hectic in terms of accumulating all stuff to be shipped at one place.
The packers and movers came yesterday and were done with things in about 2 hrs !! I was totally impressed. Should say that they were totally professional. I would appreciate them better if all things wud be delivered intact at our apartment in Sunnyvale.

Today was a lil hectic. Went to a thread-ceremony called Upanayanam in the morning. Came home after lunch and slept for an hour which wasnt enough :-(
Attended a reception in the evening.

A had called in the morning and we spoke for such a looooooooong time and I really feel happy about it :-) A call from him really does wonders to how my day goes :-)
Am waiting for him to come online for a chat now......

Life has so much to offer and it also takes away things from us.

I remember I was hurt at one point of time that things went terribly wrong. Then things went on so smooth (touch wood) that I started to get scared as to when the good things in life would come to an end. Coz I remember someone telling me that life is a sine wave.

Speaking on a positive note -
A few things I cherish - The love of my life, my family and friends, my job
A few things I miss having in my life - My gramma and uncle, the carefree life of a child, a few good old friends

And the other side of the coin -
What life has given to me - Tensions, worries, hopes
What life has taken away from me - Peace, Time

Such an irony that life can make life go from bad to worse and make a few see rays of hope.Phew !

3 months...

3 months - Long or short - Its very relative. But its definitely not short for someone who is waiting to join her husband. For someone who is living each day completely, all alone, with all kinds of tensions in the head.

I agree solitude is important for every person. U tend to reflect ur thought, feelings and emotions. Work and other things occupy my time completely, but still I can feel that his presence is totally lacking and I can go mad with it !

Its not easy not to get worried and to take things as they come, especially when life demands so much from you!

All kinds of thoughts come into my head. Does he miss me? Or is he getting used to living without me? What will I do when I go to the US? What if I do not find a job? Will I lose my identity if I dont work? and more and more.....

I dont know why I feel so unsure and loaded with questions now. I remember one point of time where I was like this, overcame that, was confident about everything under the sun. And I see myself back at the same place where I started. Surely not a good sign or is this the way life is?

Its my hubby (lj user = abiligiri)'s bday today, the first one after our wedding, which we could celebrate if I was in Blore !! I had arranged for some red roses to be delivered to him...was worried if he wud get it...and he got them ..phew !!!! :-) Am glad he liked them as well....

Work is going on ...not in full swing though....
Its a lil difficult to stay without family (if ur not used to it) for 3 months !!
Once again, I'm excited that I'll have GOOD company for 2 weeks...yup!! my hubby's coming over here......isnt tht cool :-D

An hour or so to gebback home...shop for stuff to eat....and then cook...watch tv...and then watch a part of a movie (andaaz apna apna) at my colleagues place ... and then crash !!
